چکیده

In mobile communications, power is a very important factor and nonlinear amplification of power amplifiers cannot be avoided due to their high power efficiency. This article presents the performance of 2 -shift BPSK modulation scheme used in DS/SS/CDMA wireless communications over multipath Rayleigh fading channel and compares the performance with the performance of conventional BPSK CDMA systems. The performance parameters: Out-of-Band power, average Bit Error Rate(BER) and Spectral Efficiency have been evaluated. In order to obtain improved performance on fading channels, a RAKE receiver has been employed. Finally it is shown that 2 shiftBPSK outperforms conventional BPSK in the presence of nonlinear amplification. Keywords— 2 -shift BPSK, DS/SS/CDMA, Soft/Hard-Limiter, Out-of-Band power, Spectral Efficiency, RAKE Receiver.

Bit Error Performance for Asynchronous Ds Cdma Systems Over Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channels (RESEARCH NOTE)

In recent years, there has been considerable interest in the use of CDMA in mobile communications. Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of CDMA systems. In this paper, we develop a technique to find an accurate approximation to the probability of bit error for asynchronous direct–sequence code division multiple–access (DS/CDMA) systems by modeling the multipl...

Multiuser Detection in Shadowed Fading Channels with Impulsive Noise

In direct sequence-code division multiple accesses systems (DS-CDMA), the signals are transmitted over multipath channels that introduce fading. Multipath fading along with multiple access interference and intersymbol interference degrades the system performance. Further, simultaneous presence of multipath fading and shadowing leads to worsening of wireless channels. Moreover, experimental resu...

Performance of DS-CDMA Over Measured Indoor Radio Channels Using Random Orthogonal Codes

Direct sequence spread spectrum, with its inherent resistance to multipath interference, has become a commercial reality for indoor wireless communications and has been proposed for personal communication networks. To allow multiple users within the limited bandwidths allocated by the FCC, codedivision multiple-access (CDMA) is needed. This paper analyzes the performance of CDMA systems using r...
